This is why I am excited to have a boy! haha They do things that would never cross a girl's mind...although I had quite a few crazy moments as a kid. (Probably from having 6 brothers) Hey at least you can say they're entertaining!
I've read your blog a couple of times, but this is the first time, I've commented.
"I like to think that they [girls] are calm and sweet..." HA! :)
My daughter is my wild child. Yes, girls are just as crazy and sometimes worse than boys. It was my daughter that if we told her no, would look at us and turn around and do it again. Swat her on the diaper or smack her hand and she'd still do it again. It was my daughter who drew on the walls and colored the beige couch with green felt tip marker. It was my daughter who put bugs and worms in her pockets and who rolled in the mud puddles or played in the sprinkler and then rolled in the dirt. It was my daughter that had salamanders crawling all over her bedroom. ("No, Mom, I promise they can't get loose.") It was my daughter that had the insect collection and felt no remorse at sticking pins through the bugs. (Thank God that she out-grew the bug and worm phase because that just about did me in.) It was my daughter that we took to the emergency room - several times - for rolling down the stairs or jumping off ledges. It is my daughter that won't take any kind of "guff" off anyone - including teachers - but especially the boys with disgusting mouths or "too many hands". (She's even taken a couple of boys down. Karate and kick boxing paid off! And, the boys still seem to like her.)
Don't get me wrong. Her older brother is no pansy - he's probably the one that taught (or dared) her to do most of that.
But she's the one I'm constantly praying for or scolding. And, she's 22 and lives away from home!
Marie...if we ever had girls they would have NO chance to be calm and sweet. Look what they would have for examples!!!!!!!!!!!!...and why do all of your boys have the exact same eyebrows? :)
Too cute, although I'm glad it's you and not me, cleaning up that mess I mean. Girls are wired differently in some ways but as the oldest of four girls, we did our share of mischief, however it usually involved makeup and not food:)
Think what you want. That top picture is Danna to a T. At least ice cream cleans. Not like the burn she has on the back of her hand from our wood stove. Trouble with a capital T. And she's a girl. Loves her dollies, but trouble is fun and fun is her middle name.
They sure are cute, though. Even with the ice-cream lid hat :)

All children have the potential to be crazy, even adorable little girls. Were you crazy? If not, you can blame all of this on Bryan.
